Project example
Production system improvements. The Client felt that the current production organization was ineffective. The consultants have measured the existing system and performed a dynamic simulation to identify bottlenecks. Next, there were identified possible improvements, including: relocation of workstations to enable better material flows, investment in workstations to minimize time-consuming operations, change of operational planning system for individual stations. Work desk cards, work scheduling templates, kanban elements have been developed, and a new organization of work has been introduced that is more suited to the production profile.
Project example
Manufacturing costs benchmarking. The Client needed external evaluation of production costs. For this purpose, a reference production model was developed that would provide a basis for comparison. At a later stage, market information was obtained which provided the model with necessary benchmarking data. For different scenarios, the behavior of unit costs has been tested, and potential bottlenecks have been identified, including: productivity of individual operations using different production techniques and related investment expenditures.
